South East Daegu Trails
There are about 60km of hiking trails located in South East Daegu. I have a decent 30km loop that touches all of them. The route is set up so that you hike-a-bike up the mostly non-rideable sections of the trail, to be rewarded with gentler climbs and flowing trails.
The land marks easily seen from Google Earth this trail follows is: Children’s Hall, to the tunnel, A ROK Army Base, a prison, another ROK Base, the World Cup Stadium. Overall Trail conditions has many technical descents, roots, rocks, ride-able rock gardens, steep climbs, skinny off chamber trails, switch-backs, soft loam, hard packed dirt, loose shale rock, hikers, two decent bike shops, rice patties, paved roads, but no fire trails at all. This is the trail designers of “All Mountain Bikes” were thinking of. This route will challenge you to your full potential and then some. Contact me if you are interested in riding it anytime in 2008 and 2009.
