, from queenstown newzealand Summary: the 'long gully pack track' is the trail from the skippers saddle down to the canyons vehical road, it is suitable for all levels of riding. the terain is totally speed relevent, ie; if you cruise it, is mellow, yet if you go race pace down it, it is a fast downhill run. (dh races have been held down this part of the canyon) Recommended Route: as described with a few aditional bits of info... Other recommended trails in the same area: i find it amusing to stumble across this web site and find that our mountainbiking meca is still a secret!! there are countless trails in this area alone that are equal, and a lot better ones, that are not even reviewed here! i have been biking (race and recreation) for 11 years and what ever your ability we got it all here. if are looking for pristine mountainous single track, or wide rolling forestry track, or even terrain parks with jumps etc.. the bike sceene in new zealand is alive and throbing and wether you want to train off season, or escape your winter for some sunny biking, then check out the worlds mtbike meca...
