A few bitchy bits where carrying is required, but other than that, lots of single track paths to explore. Passes by some nice temples too, which are good spots for a break. Won't do all you folks in the States much good though. Sorry.

Hell, poor old Japan doesn't have a look in yet, so here goes..From JR Takatsuki, head NW, under the expressway and up the hill to the Takaysuki city cemetary. I've found numerous ways to get to the trail. Basically, it's uphill from the office/crematorium.

Summary:
Dude,

I have ridden this trail, I think. I used to live in Hirakata, and we would explore the other side of the river.

Recommended Route:
The big push up through a burned down temple area.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There is a cool trail system in Hotani on the mountain where Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara prefectures meet. Start at Kansai Gaidai Hotani campus and start climbing.
