Very much Aussie bush but with some beautiful scenery. Mostly good for the beginner to intermediate rider. Some very fast and steep hills and some challenging tracks through forests. Not all the tracks are through the park.

Summary:
The downhill north/south track along the eastern perimeter fence, from the radar-downhill is a ripper. It has the odd hidden cut off tree stump that blends in with the hardpack dirt, a couple of corners with loose rock/sandy cover over hard pack surface and plenty of humps and bumps to get air off. The track is about 1.5 km's long and has some tire ruts to mix up the ride. It's not a hard ride and is suitable for beginners/intermediate. Speeds of 50 km/h are very achievable. Beware of a couple of the corners, not super tight, but the off camber and loose pack may bring you undone! (Beware of bushwalkers in the area) A good honest fast XC ride. The climb is well worth the thrill!

Recommended Route:
Via Mickleham Road Greenvale or via Wright Street Westmeadows. If hitting the trails via Wright Street (Melways Map 5 G6), ride to the north end of Wright Street and jump onto the bike track. Ride towards the creek/airport, through the pedestrian gate, up the hill past the dam on your right. Continue on for about 60 meters past the dam, heading north and you'll find a pedestrian gate into Gellibrand Hill Park (Melways 5 F3). The area as a whole is known as Woodlands Park. Ride north up the perimeter fire access trail, 10 minutes up hill to the airport radar area. Hard work, but work the airport view and the down hill trip. Various walking & XC tracks in Woodlands Park estate.

Summary:
There are some great tracks along this national park. Take the route from mickleham road and ride to the top, past the airport radar, there you will get some great views of Melbourne airport, espicially late at night, (you will need a light)some good downhill runs near some of the homesteds and also near the abandoned hospital.

Recommended Route:
From Mickleham road or down bonds lane
