Single track all the way down. Some sandy stuff, rocky stuff, fast corners, technical stuff, creek crossings. you name it, it's there.

Trail Directions
Two options here- At the main entrance to the forest[behind the velodrome] there are 3 fire roads... #1. Take the one on the left and climb the '3 hills'. Climb steadily up the 3 long hills and at the crest of the third hill there is an entrance on the right hand side of the track. Make sure you go right to the top as the trail runs closely next to the fire road your climbing up. #2 Take the fire road to the right and go down through a creek, up past some houses on the edge of the forest. Go though a gate and keep going. After a very steep section the road forks and go to your left. This takes you down to the track that is mentioned above.

Summary:
Fantastic trails mostly established by a variety of trail builders. Currently being opened up more (dumbed down in my opinion) by two guys that call themselves MTB Trail Care. These guys don't really ride, they just build trails. And since they a lot of the trails were beyond the ability of these two guys they are "fixing" them. The Gold Coast MTB Club has/d a bit to do with the place and a small core group did what it could to keep trails at least clear. The prima donna MTB Trail Care group of two are difficult to work with and often turn volunteers away with their poor interpersonal skills. Basically they think they own the place and have little respect for those trail builders that went before them. MTB Trail Care are pretty slow trail builders as they mix IMBA and Qld Main Roads stds. So it will be years before the nice technical stuff disappears (these guys build big wide walking paths and not single track).

Recommended Route:
Exit Track, Happy Valley, follow anything that takes you up and head west for some of the big loops for a huge variety of geography, terrain and gradients.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Anything not yet touched by MTB Trail Care.
