Mt Majura pines.

Average Rating:    (4.38 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 13

Lots of technical singletrack weaving through a pine plantation. Also contains what was used up until 1998 as the Downhill course for the Australian Nationals. Still used regularly for club events for DH and XC.

Summary:
Can't believe it's been so long between reviews - then again it hasn't changed much.

Majura rocks. There's everything in there bar a mountain cross track. great for a couple of hours trail riding, or push-up DH runs. There are so many options that you'd need a month to link them all up - but it's a pretty tiny area

Recommended Route:
Start at the Race Gate carpark on Majura road and just follow your nose. Local club CORC produces maps - get one at a local bike shop or from their site www.corc.asn.au

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Mt Stromlo Forest Pard, Sparrow Hill

Summary:
This is really an excellent place as I have been multiple times and have loved every minute of it. I recommend this to anyone who likes DH, XC or just having a bash.

Recommended Route:
Starting at the radar station, you go down the main downhill track, then down the North singletrack, the NE single, the dam single, and then you finish up in the carpark. There is also a pretty good bowl if you got wiped out on the trails.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Mt Ainslie, Mt Majura West, the hill at duntroon.

Great playground. Plenty of flowing single track, lung busting climbs, gully crossings and jumps. The previous review by Sprice forgot to mention that he did it all with one hand.

Recommended Route:
Any of the previously mentioned routes

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Greenhills,stromlo forest and Isaacs Ridge

Summary:
Fun,Fast,Flowing single track all within a mile from suburbia. Toby aka Sprice' review epitomises the term
'aint nothing to write home about'. The dude comes home for holidays, races SPORT class then acts like he is the Elite XC Champ. Man better take your hands off it and loosen some of that grip.

Recommended Route:
Either from the reservoir access road from MacKenzie St in Hackett or access directly from Majura Lane.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Greenhills @ Stromlo Forest & Blue Range @ Uriarra Forest.
