Weekend Warrior Summary: The freeride runs in Glenrock mainly go off to the Sth of Gun Club Rd, on tacky clay with well-made medium size gaps. Some new stuff is appearing, including a short-lived road gap, finally the creek gap is seeing some usage and the rocky and rutted link-up Recommended Route: XC:
enter from Merewether, down rolling singletrack, go south around the point, and stay on the eastern side of the main trails until you hit the scout road. head up this to a surfers parking area and hit the fast run to the surfers' point, which returns you back to flaggy creek headwaters.
FREERIDE:
gun club road entry (duh). mini-gaps to warm up on the left on a high point. longer and better runs on the R of gun club rd. good runs all round. rhythms in the eastern quarry, 6ft+ drop in the top quarry, there's a north shore 5ft to transition just off the best run.
If you're game, the longest starts run from a dead-end with a gap with diagonal log landing (interesting!), across gun club road (harsh landing), car wreck gap, washing machine gap, to link up with the steep rutted trail to rock drops and into the creek. repeat. Other recommended trails in the same area: Killingworth, Stockrington, Ourimbah, The Corker (Barringtons)

, from Kahibah, Newcastle Summary: This place has it all, but i'd rather send a message to all users, as it has grown in popularity and traffic dramatically over the last couple of years. As this place has it all, there is naturally a diversified group of users. We all have to tollerate each other. Both my mates and i spent a great deal of time on trail maintenance, and always put in options to cater for everyone, ie where we put in a jump, there will be an adjacent roll over for those not wanting to jump, and to cater for those cross country riders going up the downhill. Its good to see new things out there to ride, but to those who wait for a trail to open up at the hard work of others, or be maintained, take heed and dont just think its an invitation to plant your "wet dream" such as a massive double right accross the track that you never properly complete, or is so outrageous even the person responsible will not have a go at it. Give thanks to us older folk, with other responsibilities that we often give up time we would rather be riding to groom a track (eg i notice how many reviews in here refer to the "first track on the left", that we can take credit for maintaining to a great standard over the past couple of years). Enjoy, and dont go stupid and wreck it for everyone. We are already seeing the parks bulldoze plenty of good stuff in the Spring of 2002!!!! Dont give them any reason to continue, or close the joint off. Most people up there are pretty cool, but as usual there are a handfull of "would-bes" that will screw it up for all. Recommended Route: Go to the top, under the aerials on city Road and Fernleigh Loop Other recommended trails in the same area: Anything and everything in this area between Dedley in the South to the ridge just south of the sewage works.

, from KOTARA Summary: This is the sweetes trail/quarrys i have ever ridden. Creek Jumps, Log Jumps, 10 Packs Quarrys ,Drops, Ant Hill jumps, Shitloads of trails 10/10 remember to bring tyre puncture kit just in case! only downside is u have to push ur bike back up most of the trails,i like staying in the quarrys. This is for most fit, keen riders just as long as you are able to roll tabletops your fine. watch out for the goanna!
Recommended Route: Its near the big radio towers at merewhether on the left there is a white rusty gate with a greenish sign behind it saying "glenrock:no vehicles blah blaH" Go through the gate and on the left there is a pile of dirt go over it and follow. Other recommended trails in the same area: None even come close to this awsome trail
