Summary:
Ridiculous, scary and a lot of fun. The trails at the blue hole are pretty messy. If you're not to worried about falling down a 60 meter cliff than this is for you. Best ridden on a dry day few days after rain, so you can cool off under a waterfall at the bottom of the gorge. Very bumpy; granny gears a must. Take the chance to get right to the bottom blue hole (the real one), it's worth it. But getting out is a killer. The downhill is not for the faint hearted.

Recommended Route:
Cross the river near the top car park and try to get on the Eastern side of the gorges, then just cut loose.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Haven't ridden Rocky River but I hear it's pretty good. The pine forrest (Armidale State forrest) is fun too; good river crossings if you're into that sort of thing and some fast singletrack.

Summary:
This is a truly great trail, the only drawback being the amount of portaging I had to do. This trail can get very technical/suicidal in places (especially in the wet when I first tried it out). The trail runs along an escarpment which looks out over Gara Gorge which is truly a sight to be seen!!! As I mentioned I went out in the wet, this can be very hazardous, because of the sheer drops down the gorge, so be very careful at all times, but especially so in the wet. All of the hard portaging work up a steep cliff pays off at the top with a smooth, long and fast downhill run to the Blue Hole swimming hole at the bottom. I recommend you jump in and cool off so that you can do the circuit again!! I would give it five stars but for all the heavy footwork that has to be done.

Recommended Route:
Follow the trail in an anti-clockwise direction, starting from the car park area.
