expressway gravel

Average Rating:    (3 of 5)

Start with long gravel road all soft corners, down and over the hill for superb views if you want to stop. down and through some corners tailor made for sliding the arse end through. the trail is as challenging as you want to make it all on a gravel trail free from any real ruts. definately one to race with others, plenty of room for overtaking moves and getting under in corners. joins at the bottom with the sturt creek trail turning into a paved path which you can take to glenelg and beyond

Summary:
More like XC than DH???!!! Try more like a linear path trail than a mountain bike trail. It's a long, sometimes fast, gravel commuting path. It's kinda fun as you can build up a bit of speed on it as you come down from the hills (80+ km/h from my first run on it). However it's hardly worthy of being on MTBR.com.

Recommended Route:
Just look it up in a street directory.

Summary:
This track is great for those who like sliding the arse out, lots of tight hair-pins. The track is wide, with smaller off shoots if you desire single track action. More like cross country than downhill but still fun. Ride up the other side of the expressway in 20 mins on a concrete track. Anybody could ride this track.

Recommended Route:
Find gate on majors road closest to the expressway, beach and city side.
