Downhiller Summary: I love it up here! A line, Dirt Merchant, Devils Club, Crabapple Hits, most of the trails rock. I hit Detroit Rock City for the first time, loved the technical rock stuff. Ho Chi Minh and Fantastic weren't my favorites. It would be nice to see some of the high traffic trails have bricked berms like some of the A Line turns, they get really chewed up and rattly. **I brought a friend who rented a bike and I will say that the prices here are outrageous! $100/day for a bike, $53.50/day for a pass = $153.50/day for him to ride! I know Fanatik isn't paying anymore for their rental bikes than the guys back home, so why are they charging twice as much? In the end, I love Whistler, but it's getting a bit out of hand on the capitalism end of things. I'll think about Kicking Horse or Mammoth next time. Recommended Route: Freight Train, A Line, GLC drop, repeat till tired then head for the trees. Other recommended trails in the same area: River Runs Through it is a must! Skip the last mile, it's a lot of work for not much play, then wash off in the river after you're done.

Weekend Warrior Summary: We drove 35 hrs to ride here for a week, and it was well worth it. I am an intermediate level rider, but the learning curve at Whistler is steep thanks to great trail design. Much of the Garbonzo expansion was closed due to rain, but the section I did ride were pretty challenging. Ride with a local if you get the chance. I did the first day and doing so "forced" me to try things I may not have otherwise. Most of the things look worse than they really are. Recommended Route: There is only one way - down.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Just got back to Adelaide(if you dont know ,look it up!!) from 3 weeks in BC spent 16 days at Whistler. Before I got there I couldn't jump for sh*t but 106 runs of Dirt Mechant-A Line-Hornet- GLC#2 changed all that. The trail building crew really are the best in the planet ( they know their Sh*t!!)& all other staff are really helpful.Anyone hanging out for the ultimate mountain biking vacation would be a fool to go anywhere else(and I've done Mammoth & Moab!!). Recommended Route: DOWN!! Other recommended trails in the same area: Anythig that takes your fancy,it's all good!!
