Highland Mountain Bike Park
4 reviews
 5 of 5

Highland Mountain Bike Park opened July 1. 2006. There are many north shore style trails. There are alot of trail fratures, ladder drops (with perfect transitions), table top jump lines, and some sick downhill trials that had great flow. This is a lift serviced mountain. Brand new lodge and awsome crew of people running the mountain that also ride.

Summary:
I can't believe no one reviewed this since 2006!! Any way, I go here every other weekend from when it opens. I can't even begin to tell you how much work has been done here! Great DH style trails, dirt jump park, slope style park, skills area and awesome freeride hits through out.

Not that many trails right now, but they are always working on building new ones and maintaining exsiting ones.

Recommended Route:
Well I really like the two easy trails there because they have so much flow to them and you can really fly down. Then I would say the intermediate trail is awesome too. I would do the black diamond more, but I don't have a full on DH rig so it is a slower ride for me.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Hmm, not much in that area, but if you like Highland, you will LOVE Diablo in NJ. Like Highland but with much more trail options.

Summary:
Well thought out and well built trails. The crew spent 2 years getting the facilities, lift and mountain ready after the former ski area had been abandoned for nearly a decade. Totally dedicated to biking -not secondary to skiing. Top notch and totally fun good vibe.

Recommended Route:
Above directions should say exit 19 off of Rt 93 (not 89)

Summary:
One of the best trails I've ridden. This park is strictly for advanced mountain bikers - no skiers.

There are alot of jumps, drop offs, and just a mixture of sick smooth downhill. Everything just flows here - trails were well put together. The group of guys there too, Mark, Will, Dennis, and Josh, were extremely plesant and knowledgeable. Maybe the 5 hour drive from NYC well worth the trip. Thanks guys

Recommended Route:
from NYC just do a mapquest and will take 5 hours to get there. you will not be disappointed

Summary:
bad-ass freeride park. Only one in the area, Mostly advanced trails, with big jumps, quite a few drops, and a wall ride. all stunts and trails are well kep as far as I can tell. I recomend NE style, that trail rocks. This place is sick, check it out

Recommended Route:
Go up 89 and get off in northfield, go up bean hill road, its on the right.
