S Works Stumpjumper

 5 of 5

XC Trail THE BEST GETS BETTER. With an all-new chassis design that is lighter, more efficient, features a lower stand-over height and the same incredible handling, the completely redesigned Stumpjumper FSR® continues to be best bike for the trails most of us ride, most of the time.

Inside Tech The completely redesigned Stumjumper FSR chassis features an ultra-refined and focused design, one that's been completely integrated with critical suspension components. The top-tube of the new Stumpjumper FSR sweeps down to ensure maximum standover height and boost overall rigidity.

Favorite Trail:
3 months

Summary:
Great bike for trail riding, all day epics or racing, climbs well, has proven to be fast, reliable and maintenance free apart from the normal everyday stuff
Certainly the best Stumpjumper i have had, it doesnt come cheap but is fitted with plenty of quality components that last.
If you can afford it buy one

Strengths:
The Future shock fork is plush and smooth throughout it travel, simple to set up and reliable, far better than any of my previous Fox Talas or Nixon forks
This generation of the of the brain shock is also the best so far of the the four genrations i have used, simple to set up and reliable
The Roval Controle wheelset has also proven to be strong, reliable and maintenance free, i have set them up as tubeless this has also been very reliable
Overall light weight of the bike is great

Weaknesses:
The Captain Tires that it came with ended up with slashed sidewalls after a couple of rides, probably not suited to the rocky terrain, Have replaced them with Continental Verticals, no issues since

Other recommended trails in the same area:
05 Stumpy Comp,06 Stumpy Pro,07 Stumpy Pro,07 Stumpy SWorks
